We are looking for a highly experienced Cloud Architect with strong expertise across multi-cloud platforms including Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud Platform, and regional providers like Etisalat.
The ideal candidate should be capable of building cloud services and frameworks from scratch, driving cloud adoption, and reducing vendor dependency by establishing internal cloud capabilities. The role also involves engaging with cloud service providers and advising stakeholders on cloud limitations, integrations, and hybrid architecture strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define and implement enterprise cloud strategies across multi-cloud and hybrid environments
- Design and build cloud platforms, landing zones, and governance frameworks from scratch
- Architect and manage multi-tier applications across cloud environments
- Lead cloud migration initiatives (re-hosting, re-platforming, re-architecting)
- Engage with cloud providers to evaluate offerings, SLAs, and technical limitations
- Advise stakeholders on on-premise vs public cloud vs hybrid cloud strategies
- Drive vendor independence by building internal cloud capabilities and frameworks
- Ensure cloud security, governance, and compliance standards are implemented
- Optimize cloud costs through FinOps practices
Key Skills & Expertise:
- Strong hands-on experience with Azure, AWS, GCP, and telecom cloud providers
- Deep understanding of hybrid and multi-cloud architectures
- Experience in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, ARM, CloudFormation)
- Expertise in containers, Kubernetes, and cloud-native architectures
- Strong knowledge of networking, security, and compliance frameworks
- Proven experience in building cloud ecosystems from scratch
Certifications (Preferred):
- Azure Solutions Architect Expert
- AWS Solutions Architect – Professional
- Google Professional Cloud Architect
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Proven ability to lead cloud transformation programs
- Strong stakeholder management and advisory experience
- Ability to influence leadership and drive strategic initiatives
- Experience in reducing vendor dependency and building internal capabilities
- Having some exposure in FMCG will be preferable
